“My Body, My Choice” Right?

It's been three weeks since that dreadful day when Roe vs. Wade was overturned. If I'm being honest, I'm still trying to process it. As a woman, it has been fearful for not only me but the millions of other women who also got the choice to have a safe and legal abortion taken away from them. I thought this country gave people the freedom to choose what was best for their bodies?

It makes you wonder what this means for the country's future in terms of rights. This overturned case has caused a remarkable ripple effect between the living room debates and TikTok advice; many people are unsure what to do. The continuous advice many have given is to educate yourself on abortion in your state. Read on the restrictions in your state, if any, and how that affects you personally.

I watched a news program that interviewed all these women on their stance on abortion, and one woman said, "For me, it's not solely about abortion, but the choice. The choice that if I wanted to or if I didn't. I had the choice, and now that choice is taken away." Since watching that program, I continue to ask myself, "Does my body have a choice anymore?"

However, this continues to unfold right in front of our eyes. I hope the government can create a solution to protect every woman. Here are ways to donate and learn more:
